“You wouldn’t have lights
if these guys weren’t here.”
Nicholas, the theater director of one my
first-ever professional acting jobs,
was pointing up to the tech booth.
He was reminding us all that while
we got the glory as the people on stage,
without the tech team running the board
—lights and sound cues—
we wouldn’t even be seen
and our music wouldn’t play.
It’s a lesson I’ve never forgotten.
Every time I’m on stage,
I’m so grateful to the AV team
and always let them know.
This pic above is from last week
at an event in Key Largo, Florida.
These three ROCKED.
We had a blast and at the end of my program,
I thanked them from the stage.
The keynote & workshop:
a big event for the top Sales Reps for
HP, Microsoft, Intel, and their +1 guests.
The program was off the charts.
But without the tech team, I would have no lights,
mic, screen, slides, monitors, music or stage.
So . . .
1. Who is that team for you?
2. And how can you thank them this week?
Risk Forward & Rock On,
P.S. This was the gig following my wipe-out on a moving escalator. If you missed the post, you can check it out here.
