The above pic is from
a Sales Kick Off event
last week in Tampa, FL where
I served as the keynote speaker.
The evening before,
I sat through the company’s
entire 2.5 hour awards banquet,
something I’ve never done before.
At other conferences,
I’ll stay for an hour or so
to take notes…but for this,
I stayed through to the very end.
“Why did I stay?” I kept asking myself.
As I rode the elevator up
to my hotel room,
I realized the answer,
and texted my husband:
I had been riveted,
because it is so rare…
and so rarely called out in
sales award ceremonies.
And interestingly enough,
this company completely
CRUSHED IT last year
in a highly competitive industry.
Hard work; high integrity.
A few months ago, I heard a quote
from Senator Al Simpson,
which goes like this:
“If you have integrity,
nothing else matters.
If you don’t have integrity,
nothing else matters.”
– Alan K. Simpson
What can you do to
encourage and reward integrity
in those around you and in those you lead?
