A current area of interest
for a lot of my clients
is how to create a more connected culture––
one with less isolation and exhaustion,
and with more collaboration and support.
The focus is frequently on sweeping plans,
new systems and structures
but it’s so often in the micro-moments
that the difference is really made.
As an example, here’s one simple behavior
that I often see so many people blow:
how they receive other people’s ideas in meetings.
This 47-second excerpt
from a recent keynote in Boston
will offer you some insight.
The next time you lead
or show up for a meeting,
whether live in person, on zoom,
or on Microsoft teams,
make sure you come ready to receive.
