Early in my book
there’s a chapter called
THE FOG—
that period in life
when you’re uncertain about
what’s next, where you’re heading,
or how to handle a current situation.
This past Thursday at MIT,
I delivered a keynote to 75 entrepreneurs
who are members of
a group called “Gathering of Titans.”
As successful as everyone in the room is
(having founded $10-100 million dollar companies),
the topic of THE FOG had great resonance.
The truth is, successful people
face not knowing a lot.
Why?
Because the very nature of success
requires heading into new territory
again and again, finding yourself in situations
you’ve never seen before,
often feeling overwhelmed
and at a loss.
So if you’re in THE FOG,
consider it part of the path to success.
You’ve made a move, taken a stand,
or left a comfort zone.
You’re in a new landscape,
one that’s unfamiliar.
This takes courage.
So now what?
Here’s a 33 second clip from Thursday’s keynote,
filmed by someone in the audience
to offer a bit of insight.
I hope it helps.
Risk Forward & Rock On,
P.S. In the video, the first words “The Fog” are cut off…
P.P.S. Feel free to forward this post to anyone who might benefit from the message.
Oh, and here’s a photo from backstage, just before I went on.
