Over the last few weeks,
I’ve been meeting in virtual and live
settings with a variety of leaders
as they prepare for 2023.
We’re discussing their messaging
and “kick off” events of which I’ll be a part.
The leaders’ visions are aspirational,
and it’s exciting.
What’s often missing, however, are the
details of how it’s actually going to happen.
If you’re talking about innovation,
what’s in place to foster, encourage,
capture, sort and implement ideas?
If you’re talking about winning together,
what’s going to motivate people
to work that hard?
When, how, and in what form
will you bestow rewards?
Leaders must think through
the cultural and logistical reality
of what they’re trying to promote.
The same is true for you personally.
If you’re making a bold vision for 2023,
what support systems are in place
and what rewards are you creating
to keep you going?
