This past week, 3 consecutive flights
were canceled for a trip to Ohio.
So, I got in a rental car
and drove 10+ hours
through the middle of the night
from Newark airport all the way to Columbus.
Here’s a 1-minute video
that tells the story.
Driving was the only way
I could get to where I needed to be:
on stage as the opening keynote speaker
at a conference for 400 people.
It was an all-night adventure
but it paid off.
Was it easy? No.
Was it worth it? Yes.
When others are expecting you,
you do what you can to make it work.
Alas, I think our world has gotten lazy:
people bail last minute
—on a call, a lunch, a meeting—
because they “don’t feel like it”. . .
but it’s so important
to keep your word.
90% of life is showing up.
Risk Forward & Rock On,
P.S. Flying home was a lot easier!
